About Us
Wonkytops is a small, female owned, mother-daughter business. Living in Topanga Canyon, the beach has always been one of our family's favorite pastimes. Wonkytops is inspired by our love of the ocean, surfing, and going to the beach. Shannon is the mastermind behind it all, originally learning to crochet in her free time to make crochet bikinis for her daughter, Natalie, that she could only dream of wearing when she grew up in Malibu in the 70s. We hand make every item ourselves and work as a team to create a one-of-a-kind crochet bikini, halter or other article of clothing. We take pride in hand sewing our linings, embroidery, and adding intricate details into our suits.We are constantly trying to perfect our art and find new designs and styles to play with. How Does Your Sizing Work?
Our crochet tops sizing is based on cup size and are made for minimal coverage.
We recommend sizing up if you are on the fuller side of a cup or prefer your bikini tops to offer more coverage.

Please bear in mind that all of our crochet swimwear and tops are hand-crafted and slight variations in sizing may occur. Please check each item's description for exact measurements. *Scallop Style tops run small, please refer below for more information*
All of our bottoms are designed to be minimal coverage and extra cheeky, a wedgie fit if you will, as crochet cotton does not offer the same elasticity as traditional swimwear material. Most bottoms can also be worn reversed for a thong-like cut in back and more full coverage in front. Please refer to the individual measurements in each product description before purchasing. Tying strings on bottoms are all approximately 13-14 inches long.

Why is Scallop Style sizing different than other styles?
The sizing for our Scallop Style tops is different than our other suit's sizing because this style offers less coverage, specifically for the nipple. This top offers a smaller triangle for coverage in the center along with a decorative webbing on the outer rim. This style is more revealing than our other tops. We currently only carry this style for A-C cups. If you would like this style top larger than a C cup it will need to be a Custom Order so that we can get your exact measurements. What is your return policy?
ALL SALES ARE FINAL
We do not accept any returns or exchanges, even for custom orders. We want to assure you that you're purchasing something that no one else has worn. Bikinis in particular are very personal clothing items. Once worn or tried on, we are not able to properly sanitize them to be able to resell them as "new." Each suit we create is made one of a kind, we do not have other sizes made unless it is Custom Ordered.
Before you place your order please double check the sizes, provided measurements, and colors listed in each suits' description. We understand that it can be difficult to buy things online without being able to try them on first, this is why we provide as much information as possible in the product descriptions. If you are still unsure about sizing, feel free to email us and we can send more exact measurements and pictures of the suit you're interested in to ensure a good fit!
Which payment methods do you accept?
We use Square Payment to process online transactions through our website. They accept any Visa, MasterCard, Discover, JCB, or American Express card.
How long does shipping take?
DOMESTIC:
We use USPS for all our orders. We offer First Class mail (3-5 business days) and Priority Mailing (1-3 business days). Priority ensures that we have tracking and $50 insurance on your order. When we receive an order we try to do same-day shipping or next business day shipping. However, if you add 'bottom lining' to your order it will add up to 3 business days to your order being sent out, even with priority mailing. We will send you a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number once your order has shipped. We check for shipping updates often and recommend that you do the same!
CANADA:
We also ship to Canada! We ask that once you place your order, you allow for a minimum of two weeks and up to a full month for your order to arrive. When you receive your tracking number email from us, you will be able to track your package with USPS until it leaves the US. Once your package leaves the US you will be able to continue to track it with Canada Post using the same tracking number. We check for shipping updates often and recommend that you do the same!
